There is a “corner of LinkedIn free from humble brags, self-promotion, thought leadership, and strict decorum.” And it’s headed up by Gen Zers. Young people don’t spend much time on the professional networking site, but when they do, they’re absolutely clowning on it. The anti-Gary Vee, basically.
This subculture of subversion on LinkedIn has inspired countless TikTok videos, a Twitter account called @LinkedinFlex and a devoted Reddit community called LinkedInLunatics.
