Gen Z’s favorite horror movie is having a 9-5

For the past few weeks, Gen Zers have been sharing their “top 5 horror movies,” though the accompanying list isn’t actually scary movie titles but rather a catalog of the humiliations and inconveniences of everyday life, usually set to Katy Perry’s “The One Who Got Away.”

I watched hundreds of these over the weekend and made note of some recurring trends:
