Hope you’re having a great Sunday! What was supposed to be a long weekend in Maine turned into a long weekend of covid (in 2023???), so needless to say I have yet to see Barbie, and I’m pretty sure I’m the only girl in America who hasn’t.
After more than a year of nonstop hype, I’m relieved it’s finally out because Barbie fatigue has taken over my (and maybe your?) soul — and that’s saying a lot since I grew up playing with Barbies and I love the color pink. But I can only read so many headlines about this doll’s cultural significance and global consumer impact before turning into Zombie Barbie.
