As someone who hasn’t had cash on me in, like, six months, this is astounding to me: Not only is Gen Z more likely to pay with cash than people aged 25 to 44, but 45% of Gen Z respondents prefer cash for everyday purchases, with 33% of those saying they feel like they have more control when they use cash.

hmmm it feels like gen Z is just more likely to come in contact with cash than age 25-44. I also had and used a lot of cash when I was 20 because I was a server and would get cash every day from tips. Didn't really see that addressed in the article
