Did you ever hear of Club Libby Lu? I had my 9th bday party there, hoping the Sephora parties/makeovers are similar for that age. Was one of my favorite parties…I have such a funny photo of my friends and I after our makeovers!

Re the Sephora parties thing, I think this is yet another sign of the lack of tween-dedicated fashion/beauty spaces nowadays and I think that's kind of shame.

There used to be some really good sex ed influencers out there on YT and Tumblr, I wonder if we need a version of Hillmantok to tackle these issues. There ARE a lot of good education orgs out there, but maybe needs a centralizing force or resource.

Karsen is such a good person. She would never make a blog and hate from a smelly lil room 😂 like imagine typing this up. This blog is not paying the rent your parents for sure help you, Mom Dad I wanna be a blogger in 2025 hahahah only 25 likes later. Poor girl lost her dad and you’re clowning her. Ew

Wait I’m not "clowning" her at all, I’m sharing her Sundance debut. I’m saying I am always on the nepo baby beat, meaning I always cover celeb kids. I grew up reading Teen Vogue, no one loves nepo babies more than me

Curious if anyone had a sex ed class not taught by a gym teacher? I thought it was a cliché for a reason. The only time I ever saw something different was on Degrassi remember that lady with the banana!

As a retail worker, the 'mall scavenger hunt' as a birthday activity is a bit of a pain to work through on a regular basis. It's slightly better when a parent accompanies the kids running through the store in pursuit of whatever they need, taking the required selfies with the product along the way, because they keep it to a dull roar (I don't work in a teen store).

Re: (We need a follow-up on that 2023 study that found that Gen Z doesn’t want to see sex on TV or in movies — are they, too, horny now?)

There was a follow up study! https://www.scholarsandstorytellers.com/teens-screens-24

For some reason Hollywood doesn't want to believe it, but the data still points to the fact that young people are more interested in seeing friendship on screen than sex and romance

Our research director references this in this article: https://www.euronews.com/culture/2025/01/16/is-cinema-sexy-again-how-babygirl-is-inspiring-important-conversations-about-kink

Didn’t Ray Liotta pass? There is still time to delete this….

Yes, he died in 2022. I cover celebrity offspring a lot; she’s Gen Z so I wanted to include her Sundance debut. Why do you feel I should delete?

I mean her dad passed, just not a good look to mock.

The Sephora birthday parties are actually fascinating 🧐 & the influencers & podcasters in the White House will be interesting especially if Aaron Parnas gets access.
